Ugh! Please don't do this! The last thing I want on a long bus ride or in a group at a museum or similar "close in places" is someone who thinks that they need to smell like a perfume factory. Please, for the benefit of those of us with allergies, leave the smelly perfume at home and just put an open bar of soap in your suitcase while in storage. Accomplishes the same thing with out the strong odor, errrrr aroma.

This is a great collection of tips. I like the point about requesting a non smoking floor. Also, I think it’s important if you are avoiding a mini bar or to take a very light one. Also, now that you can’t really take much in terms of liquids with you it makes it easier to not spill things.

Great blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers? I'm hoping to start my own website soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I'm completely confused.. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

These are very good tips! I just want to add two additional tips: 1) track ecological and epidemiological state of yout travel places and adjust the food and water safety requirements depending on this tracking; 2) take into account the current weather - it influences state of food and water.

I pack pants-shirt,etc. on wire hangers and put
plastic cleaner over - keeps wrinkles off. When
unpacking -just take out the hangers and put
in closet.

We bought large suction cup hooks to hang our
toiletries on in bathrooms with no place to hang them.

It is a good idea to pack some of your older clothes that you are willing to dispose of on your trip because it will help free up space for new clothes and souvenirs.
